Medicine:

"Various species of Phacelia were used medicinally at Acoma, Laguna, San Ildefonso, Santa Clara, and, most recently at Zuni. The powdered root or leaves are mixed with water and rubbed on sprains, swellings, and rashes."(Dunmire and Tierney 201)
